Power of Now — How to Be in the “NOW”
Alexander the Great, the conquerer of the world, traveled to Corinth to meet Diogenes. He found Diogenes enjoying the morning sunlight. Delighted to meet the philosopher he asked, if he could do anything for Diogenes — riches, pleasures, fame, anything. Diogenes replied,
“Move a little to the right; you are blocking my sun.”
Diogenes was living in his present, he was enjoying his present. He was enjoying his “Now”.
Nobody lives in the present, some are anxious about their future, and others regret their past. Most of the miseries can be avoided by simply living in their NOW. Seems like a very simple method to avoid our miseries, right? Yes, but the simplest things are the hardest to follow.
There are hundreds of millions of followers of Buddha all over the world. Reading books about him, soaking his philosophies, and studying his life but most of them don’t know that the method through which Buddha attained enlightenment is as simple as breathing. Yes, it is actually “Breathing”, slow breathing, watching each breath-in and breath-out, watching the gap between breath-in and breath-out. Living in the “NOW” of each “BREATHE”. Well, if he attained enlightenment, we can at least achieve Happiness. This “Breathing Technique” was actually derived from a five-thousand-year-old Hindu text known as Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra. The best method to live in your now is this “Breathing Awareness Technique”. It’s a purely scientific technique, when you focus on one thing (Your breathing), you can’t focus on anything else (past, future, Instagram, twitter, your girlfriend enjoying with her best friend), SIMPLE. You can read it here in detail if you want to follow it.
Now, I won’t stretch this blog post further and make it boring. It’s my first time writing something informative and I like to write in simple language, and no garbage(so short too). So from “NOW”, I’m starting to write stories, fiction, non-fiction(some paid posts maybe), or anything I like.
